AWESOME, an acronym for “Advancing Writers Entertainers Singers On Music Endeavours” is a Performance and Mechanical Rights(Royalty Collection Organization) and Media Intelligence service provider. Media Intelligence is the use of recorded radio and television broadcasting to submit required information to clients.

AWESOME Limited is the only company in the Caribbean which has integrated Media Intelligence with Royalty Collection, providing a service far superior than any other Licensing Body can offer. Founded in 2007, making it the third Performance and Mechanical Rights(Royalty Collection Organization) in Trinidad and Tobago, AWESOME's repertory has diversified from gospel music to include today's most popular music, including soca, calypso, R&B/hip-hop, dance, rap, contemporary Christian, and the coolest jazz.

AWESOME Limited is a relatively new company which has seen the need for improved methods in not only copyrights fee collections but Intelligent Media as well. Our aim is to change the music industry world wide.

After extensive research into Intellectual Property we have come up with a methodology and the development of a software product that will enable us to provide services in both the copyright and data collection fields that have never been offered in Trinidad and Tobago and the region.

AWESOME Wave Intelligence® is a software that allows us to encode music, jingles and images such as advertisements with a fingerprint that can be detected anywhere in the world. Coupled with a 24 hour recording system, we are able to offer numerous services to advertising agencies, government, statistics agencies, and corporations.

AWESOME offers two basic services which then subsequently offer various smaller services. AWESOME Performance and Mechanical Rights (Royalty Collection) and AWESOME Media Intelligence.

How AWESOME works

Unlike all the other performance rights organizations and companies in the world which use the sampling method AWESOME uses a 24 hour Media Intelligence coupled with a fingerprinting technology which will enable the system to recognize our members’ music when it is played. This system will be able to record our members’ music whenever, wherever and on whatever frequency monitored, which will ensure that we distribute funds fairly and evenly among AWESOME members.

AWESOME’s use of media fingerprinting technology empowers us to verify broadcasters more efficiently, and better distribute royalties. Our nationwide broadcast monitoring and verification service would offer to our members’ significant added value by bypassing the need to pre-encode broadcast media when such a process is costly and cumbersome while our new verification technology will eliminate the need for pre-encoding.
