1. Formerly Merle Dickson of Jarvis Street, Vistabella, San Fernando. 2. Married Cecil Earl Sammy on August 23rd, 1986. 3. Mother of three children Mercil, Samcil and Timothy 4. Born on the 30th August 1960 at the Point-a-Pierre hospital to Arnold and Elenora Dickson. 5. Presently reside at Couva 6. Accepted the Lord at the age of 17 at the El Dorado Girls’ Youth Camp 7. Member of Calvary’s Temple Pentecostal Church, Marabella 8. Started singing at the age of 16 9. Presently a member of the group called The New Creation Outreach for Jesus. On the second Saturday of each month this group visits different parts of Trinidad and Tobago as well as the Caribbean once a year preaching and singing the word of God. 10. The singers who inspired me in my early life are Mahalia Jackson and Shirley Caesar.
