There is a one time, nominal processing fee of $300.00 to apply for AWESOME writer membership and $500.00 for AWESOME publisher membership, this fee is non-refundable, but there are no annual dues.AWESOME's corporate headquarters in Trinidad houses all of the company's divisions, from creative to licensing to administration. While AWESOME is the newest of the three Performance and Mechanical Rights (Royalty Collection Organization) in Trinidad and Tobago AWESOME prides itself on being the first to bring technology and new methods to the collections and distribution of royalties which was desperately needed in the industry. AWESOME also prides itself in developing individual relationships with our members and clients and making headway in the music industry in Trinidad and Tobago.
Unlike the majority of Licensing Bodies, AWESOME is a Limited Liability company which gives AWESOME the ability to venture into various aspect of the music industry. Other Licensing Bodies are limited to what functions their business can operate because of the limitation to their Articles of Association and international affiliations. NGO’s or Not For Profit Organizations can only operate in the capacity in which they were registered, hence other Licensing Bodies in Trinidad and Tobago can NOT engage in collecting of fees for non members and such entering into a working relationship with other collection bodies may be illegal.
